Many see the lake of fire of Revelation 20 as the same as hell.  What do you think?

Hell and the lake of fire are the same. Both represent the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. People do not live forever in torment in hell because the only way one achieves immortality in the first place is via the Gospel!

2 Timothy 1:10 - But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

It is a myth that man was created having immortality
Thanks for posting! I generally see the book of revelation as symbolic or spiritual in it's correct understanding. I believe that the lake of fire is a symbolic place where Satan now is as well as anyone that would take the mark. The mark being associated with the phylacteries that the Jews wore on the forehead and hand. The forever torment is because of Christ giving power to the Church. Through Christ we have become more than conquerers. Torment through trying to achieve salvation through the works of the law leaves one forever in torment.

I also come to this conclusion as a result of the other symbolic uses of everything else in Revelation. To be honest with you, I have a hard time finding anything literal in Revelation. Even Jesus is a King in Revelation 19 and a Lamb in Revelation 5. Thanks again and GB.

I'm not sure on this but I do know I dont any part of it...could it be a black hole where fire gets sucked into it.
