Why Was The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil Placed Within Reach?

We would place a hurtful object out of reach of our children. God left the tree of the knowledge of good and evil within reach and left the room. Why?

I certainly believe that God is always in charge. I believe God always knows the beginning from the end. God did not want Adam and Eve to sin but knew that they would. He also prophesied Jesus would come and bruise the head of Satan. God allowed the tree to be in reach as the lesson was in obedience. God could of easily placed the tree out of reach but what would of been the point. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil made us gods. The tree of life (Jesus) makes us immortal gods. This I believe was God's plan all along. God's plan will overcome the enemy every time. Satan tries in both cases to stop the progress of the plan of God to no avail.
