I'm a tenth degree "red" belt (highest ranking) founder of a style of karate known as Nahashu Ryu; which means "The way of the dominating fist". I have acquired the title of "Hanshi" which means Master Instructor. I have karate schools in Memphis, TN and Cabot, AR.
I am also a published author in Traditional Karate Magazine and have published a book entitled "Creating Kata". I am currently working on my second book.
I am a U.S. Navy verteran who played lead guitar in the Navy Band program. After this I became a band director for a Catholic School and later the Fine Arts Director for the entire Catholic Diocese in Memphis, TN have run 17 school's fine arts programs.
I attended Southern Christian University in Montgomery, AL and received my permission as well as education degree in Bible/Ministry and the right to preach. They are Church of Christ Affiliated and do not offer Pastor liscenses but rather educate you and qualify you to be a "pulpit minister". In other words, you are an evangelist and can now pastor a Church of Christ congregation.
Their belief system follows closely to what I believe. However I differ greatly in the area of the use of musical instruments in the services.
I currently oversee 2 karate schools, teach guitar lessons, write, and study theology like it's the last piece of food on the earth. I cannot get enough! I consider myself to be non-denominational and have a very large and eclectic religious back ground. I find that truths discovered on my own are the best ones to follow and that my views may change from time to time as God's purpose for me is revealed. Currently I attend a rather liberal Baptist church called Crosspointe Church and am preparing a curriculum for Bible study for them. I enjoy Rock music, Contemporary Christian Rock, and Jazz. I love to read and to get to know people.
